Holistic Education: Nurturing Global Citizens and Their Relationship with Nature
Joint organizer: Department of Education Policy and Leadership, The Education University of Hong Kong
Co-organizer: Salesians of Don Bosco Ng Siu Mui Secondary School
This talk is designed for educators from kindergartens, primary, secondary and special schools, as well as those in teacher education. As an educator, you have the power to promote the holistic development of your students with a global perspective and care for nature. Join this public talk to explore how a holistic approach to education can broaden your understanding of learning and teaching and how it can be applied to students of all ages and backgrounds.
Holistic education encompasses head, heart and hand, and integrates intuitive and logical learning, science and intuition, economy and ecology, philosophy and practice. Our speaker, Satish Kumar, is a leading advocate for holistic education and co-founder of Schumacher College, an international centre for ecological and spiritual studies.
During the talk, you'll learn how to support your students in becoming global citizens with a care for nature and prioritising their all-around growth.
* Participants will receive a Certificate of Attendance after the event.
